Hi Liz! Good to see you made it to Rwanda. In the New York Times this morning I'm reading about a truce in Goma, Congo that's holding on by a hair this week, with suspicions mounting about Rwandan involvement on the part of a rebel general sympathetic to the Tutsis. Let us know how the security climate feels there! Really lovely photos you've been posting. Stay safe.
Hello! This is my account, for family and friends, of my life studying abroad in East Africa for four months with the GoED program of Food for the Hungry. I'm traveling with twelve other students and taking courses on African Traditional Religion, Post-Colonial African Literature, Issues of Peacebuilding, and Social Context for Development, as well as completing a Practicum in Cross-Cultural Studies.
